On\u00a0November 26, I\u2019m very much looking forward to performing Beethoven\u2019s\u00a0Piano Concerto No. 4\u00a0with the\u00a0Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra.\nSouth Africa holds a special place in my heart. Back in\u00a02016, I visited for the first time to take part in the\u00a0UNISA International Piano Competition, where I was awarded the second prize. I have such fond memories of that time - not only of the competition itself, but of the people, the atmosphere, and the warmth I experienced throughout my stay.\nFive years later, at the\u00a0Beethoven Competition, I once again had a special connection with this very concerto, winning another second prize with it. Since then, this piece has become like a close musical companion - one that keeps revealing new sides of itself every time I play it.\nReturning to South Africa now, to perform this concerto again in Cape Town, feels like meeting an old friend - both in the music and in the place itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
