The meeting of classical instruments and electronic sound takes me to a wide variety of stages with SYMPHONIACS. In September and October, I travelled to China with the ensemble, with performances in Shanghai and Wuhan among the stops on our journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Travelling also brings a fresh perspective to my own musical work. Performing in a different cultural setting and experiencing an audience\u2019s immediate response are among the most rewarding aspects of an international concert life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With SYMPHONIACS, the precision of chamber music meets the energy of electronic music. As a pianist, I am particularly drawn to the versatility of my role: carrying melodic lines, shaping rhythmic momentum and bringing together the ensemble\u2019s contrasting instrumental colours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our concerts in China offered an opportunity to continue this musical dialogue with audiences far from our European home. Equally memorable are the impressions gathered between performances: encounters, conversations and the discovery of cities whose distinctive rhythms become part of the journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
