After the successful and sold-out benefit concert in favour of Ukraine in April this year, another heartfelt project will follow in favour of the Orphan Care Centre in Malawi. A meeting of Western and Eastern musical cultures will take place – together with the flutist Şefika Kutluer, who lives in Ankara, I will interpret works for flute and piano from Germany, Hungary, Austria, the USA and Turkey. More information here.
This year’s summer brought lots of sun, travelling and thankfully – after more than two years of pandemic – plenty of concerts. My concert calendar was filled with wonderful concerts, too, which sometimes pushed me to my limits. But all the musical experiences with so many warm-hearted visitors, friends and co. and thanks to the especially intensive efforts of all the concert organizers, made this summer particularly wonderful. A new concert season 2022/23 also begins with a home performance on 16.09. in Mortantsch – new dates will be available here soon.
And all those who would like to take a look behind the scenes on my travels and concerts, I warmly invite you to follow me on Instagram.
As a new member of SYMPHONIACS I am looking forward to performing in filled concert halls and on openair-stages. The highlights of the next concerts are Parma (4 June, 2022) and Brucknerhaus Linz (22 June, 2022).
The internationally based electro-classical project SYMPHONIACS with its futuristic classical-meets-club mix brings together two genres which at first glance might seem an unlikely pair, but with the help of the project’s visionary sound, century-old tradition is awakened and given new life.
Behind the name SYMPHONIACS is Berlin based producer, composer and electronic artist Andy Leomar, a trained classical pianist who has celebrated international success in the pop music scene and during regular stays in Los Angeles has also written for American film and television productions.
With SYMPHONIACS, Leomar had the idea to bring together young classical virtuosi rebels from all over the world.
In Bonn, I had the great honour of being awarded the “Beethoven-Haus” Prize. I was chosen as the winner of this award at the International Telekom Beethoven Competition 2021. I would like to express my sincere thanks to the Beethoven-Haus and especially to the warm-hearted audience in Bonn for this important prize.
Who would have thought that after the Corona pandemic, the next catastrophe would be ahead of us. The terrible events in Ukraine is moving all of us. On 4 April, I will play a charity concert at the Beethoven Haus in Bonn for the people of Ukraine, which was made possible thanks to the generous help of many well-known supporters (Rotary Club, International Telekom Beethoven Competition, Beethoven Haus Bonn). Please support us, too!
Unfortunately, the total of five live concerts with audience in Graz’ prestigious Musikverein Hall had to be cancelled at the last minute due to COVID-19. Nevertheless, there will be a chance to hear Gershwin’s masterpiece as a live recording. There will be more information about this soon.
Update: Even the video production had to be cancelled. But yet there will be another opportunity to hear the concert in the next season 2023.
